Sonic Screwdriver (10th doctor)
thingiverse
The Ultimate Sonic Screwdriver Replica for 9th & 10th Doctors Fans. I recently created a prototype of this iconic device, which I'm excited to share with you. You'll notice that I've included a picture with a flashlight used to create a dramatic effect - it's an early version, and I'm eager to make some significant improvements. This latest model is a simplified design, featuring a static and unmovable structure. My ultimate goal is to introduce a few key modifications to bring this project to the next level. This replica is meticulously modeled after various screen shots from the Doctor Who universe. Please note that the scale might be slightly exaggerated, so I recommend using the blue sphere at the tip of the screwdriver as your reference point. The model measures 25mm in diameter, making it a perfect fit for a standard 25mm marble - however, the overall size will be quite impressive. To achieve a more realistic representation, I suggest scaling down all parts to 0.64 and using a 16mm blue marble instead. To make painting and assembly easier, I've sliced some of the parts based on their surface color. This approach will allow you to tackle each section individually, streamlining the process. Once I finally print and paint this replica, I'll be sure to update this post with the results. Update: November 29th, 2018 - I resliced the shaft components to further refine the design.
