Sonic MK2 Main Hatch
thingiverse
<p>After many attempts to get some decent cooling inside the fuselage for the ESC inside on my Phoenix Sonic MK2 (Top Wing), i decided to make a new hatch for it with a NACA duct. I believe the DUCT is the works of *Marc Q* (the Talon UAV 3d print parts Guru). This is a work in progress, so if using this you may need to sand a little to make it fit. </p> After printing I had some sand off a bit on the sides and round the corners a little bit. You will need a Lock pin that you can get from Amazon or Hobby shop, that is used to lock the hatch. You can use the one that came with the original balsa wood hatch which will work better. Search Amazon for: + uxcell Canopy Hatch Lock Latches for RC Airplane Cockpit Cover Fixing, 26x16x8mm 2pcs + here is a link to something similar: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32860317079.html <p>Depending on the hatch lock pin used, you may have sand off a little to fit the hatch into the slot as well and/or cut a little off the metal pin.</p> I will post more pictures on the model later on. My 3d printer is a VoxLab and I use the provided PLA settings Aries PLA (see pictures). See it mounted in my Phoenix Sonic MK2 (see pictures) Enjoy
