NOTE! If printed full size, I recommend you also print the second file, which has a ring that goes to the bottom of the case and a lid to help keep the box firmly in place. Now here's an item designed for a very specific purpose. Sonic & Knuckles is a rare kind of Sega MD/Genesis game that was released without a plastic box but instead came in cardboard. Good copies are difficult to find, but I have one that's not severely damaged. I used to keep it wrapped in bubble wrap, but decided to design a 3D printable protective cover instead. The walls are two millimeters thick, the bottom is three. I was careful not to make it too small, so unfortunately, I ended up designing it a bit too big, so when printing you can take maybe two millimeters off the width and depth. I won't be doing the ten hour print again, so I'll just design a lid for it to make it sit better and not bang around when moving. The upper curvy parts took some filing, and the shiny quality is the result of using Polysmooth material and the alcohol steam bath provided by Polysher. I don't own the design for the Sega logo on the bottom or the Sonic & Knuckles text on the sides.
