This is the Soma Cube, a puzzle invented by Piet Hein around 1933 and featured by Martin Gardner in one of his early Mathematical Games columns (reprinted in the Second Scientific American Book of Mathematical Recreations, which you can find at the Internet Archive.)I found a couple of other Soma Cube models on line but nothing that quite suited me so I designed this one.It includes 7 puzzle pieces and a base for display. Can you put the pieces together to form a cube? There are 240 ways to do it, but there are a lot more ways NOT to do it. Beyond that there are many other figures you can try building. You can learn more about the Soma Cube here: https://www.fam-bundgaard.dk/SOMA/SOMA.HTMAt 100% scale the cube is about 75 mm on a side, which I find to be a good, easy to handle size. I found the base at 100% is just a hair too tight so I re-printed it at 101% and I like that better, so I recommend doing that.
