UPDATE: 3/19/17 New model files have been posted and are now sized in millimeters. Previously, models were listed as inches. This mechanical finger can be a lot of fun to play with, but it may also serve as a prosthetic for someone who has lost a thumb or other fingers. Additional parts required: a basic flexible "BIC" pen insert. Four (4) M3 x 10mm screws with washers are needed; small screws may be substituted. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.02 Infill: 25% Notes: Support is essential. I have positioned models at an angle that works well for me. I recommend three shells for wall thickness. Post-Printing Some clean-up will be necessary, depending on the type of support used.
