SolidWorks Version of Cyborg Beast

SolidWorks Version of Cyborg Beast

thingiverse

This ongoing project features a SolidWorks model of the Cyborg Beast, aimed at enhancing its design and enabling infinite scaling for customized fitting. The model maintains standard hardware sizes. Old files will be removed periodically to avoid confusion; if needed, archived versions are available upon request. On May 28th, adjustments were made to the joint sizing (0.25" slot and 0.22" tendon) for improved user flexibility, matching Creo design standards. Removal of supports allows for easy printing of the palm, with minor stringing visible that will be concealed by padding and Velcro. May 27th updates enhanced performance while retaining 65mm compatibility for most STL files, except "Fingers-Cyborg_Beast_1.2(MarcPetrykowski).STL" containing all five fingers. SolidWorks files are accessible in the zip folder for those interested in creating other sizes or modifications. May 23rd corrections addressed poor finger geometry for smooth slicing, introduced variable length fingers and proximal phalanges, and added support for palm, thumb, and fingertips. However, scaling requires careful attention to correct supports. The initial SolidWorks 2010 model of the Cyborg Beast was released on May 19th, with incomplete design tables and unchecked larger sizes. Feedback is encouraged, and the zip file contains only SolidWorks files for customization. Instructions can be found in the source thing.
