The provided spreadsheet at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7881 is utilized as a Solidworks part design table for creating spur gears. Tested with 3 to 100 teeth and pressure angles of 14.5, 20, and 25 degrees. Although it currently only supports straight spur gears, making internal or helical gears in Solidworks is quite easy. Note that a small percentage of users on this site might use Solidworks, but since I am one of them, my opinion matters the most! To edit the design, simply open the part and modify properties such as module, number of teeth, pressure angle, and profile offset in the first four columns of the design table. For more advanced tweaks like addendum, dedendum, etc., use the 'Calc' tab within the design table.
