Solidoodle Y axis support
thingiverse
I built this support for my Solidoodle 4 before I figured out that oil was what I really needed instead of supports. This design shares similarities with others available, but it incorporates one or two less expensive 17 OD 6 ID bearings that work perfectly well and save some cash. I've included a .skp file for those who use SketchUp. Keep in mind that this might not be spot on the first time around; sanding or filing may be necessary to get it just right. The bolts used come from Harbor Freight Tools, specifically an assorted kit. The bolt head measures 8 mm, with threads approximately 6 mm in diameter.
