Designing a more practical solution, I appreciate mk1's original design concept for the spool holder, but realize it may not accommodate the larger spools I've acquired. In response, I have engineered an accessory upgrade that elevates these spools off the frame, creating space for optimal movement and printing ease. Rather than recreating a new base unit, this supplementary element integrates seamlessly with the existing holder. Fortunately, after measuring various filament spools in our inventory, my redesign successfully accommodates the inner hole required for a snug fit on a 1-inch PVC pipe, thereby allowing continued use of the original spool holder. To install simply: print the custom-designed insert and gently place it within the base unit to secure the upgraded functionality desired.
