Solidoodle SD4 Y Axis Belt Tensioners

I own an SD4 and both of my factory belt tensioners broke within three months. I created more substantial versions in Sketchup to replace them. The new tensioners can be made with either the original brass inserts from the factory parts or EZ-Lok 240-M3-BR inserts after enlarging the holes to 4mm (5/32"). The design is inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:705297 and the factory part, but I ended up starting from scratch. Here are some steps to make them: Use M3x14 cap screws in the tensioner and M3x10 cap screws to fasten it to the frame. Make sure to use left and right versions that have notches to hold the rods in place. If you cannot find the EZ-Lok 240-M3-BR inserts locally, send a picture of your finished part with an addressed envelope and request four or eight inserts to: ComputerSmiths Consulting, Inc. 151 Chestnut Street North Reading, MA 01864 You will get them at $23 shipping cost including handling and each insert will cost 8 cents. I therefore stocked up on the tensioners.
