An electronics cover plate for the new solidoodle printrboard is designed with press-fit mounts accommodating two 40mm fans. To ensure easy access to potentiometers, original Solidoode access holes are preserved, allowing users to slide fans in and out without unscrewing the cover plate. However, be cautious not to force a fan into clips as it may break; instead, slide fans until they fit snugly within the 40mm square depression. Additionally, printer calibration is crucial for accuracy, as minor errors can accumulate across larger prints. To achieve precise hole alignment, use an all-in-one scanner to scan the original cover plate and measure holes in GIMP. Then, print a test copy, scan any misalignments, adjust settings in GIMP based on scale requirements, and reprint for a perfectly aligned final product.
