Solidoodle extruder head wobble preventer
thingiverse
To prevent Solidoodle extruder head wobbling during fast Y-Axis movements, this hack involves relocating the lower Teflon retainer block to a spring-loaded arm on the X-Axis carriage. This keeps the back of the print head stable and prevents distorted prints near the rear print bed, where cable force can sometimes tip the extruder head. The steps are: printing the piece, unscrewing the lower Teflon retainer block from the rear X-Axis support rod, inserting it into the printed part with a screw and nut, reassembling in its original mount, and adding a small spring between the printed part's spring tab and a rear extruder fan mounting screw.
