Solidoodle E3D Upgrade
thingiverse
This E3D and X carriage upgrade for the Solidoodle requires no extra fasteners or components outside of what comes with the stock printer, except for a single M3x0.5 x 35mm bolt and a matching (normal) hex nut along with five M3x0.5 x 25mm bolts and their respective nylock nuts. The links to buy these parts are listed below. The 35mm bolt should be used with a washer to apply tension with the spring, while the 25mm bolts are used to clamp down on the E3D hotend and also to mount the assembly to the stepper motor. UPDATE: updated files have been added, allowing all four motor mounting holes to be utilized, better filament tension, and a simpler assembly. It uses the same hardware as the prior version, although a shorter tensioner spring may be needed.
