Defend the Y-axis belt from cables by using a guard that works effectively with or without a cable-chain. However, be aware that this might limit your X-axis range as components like plugs could hit the guard when the X-axis is at its maximum position. This solution should cater to both Solidoodle 2 and 3 models (the picture displayed is of Solidoodle 2). When creating a cable guide, try other options first but if unsatisfied, create your own custom design that's thinner, curved, and lower with a taller gap for the cable chain. Print it using two perimeters at 0.3mm thickness for a sturdy result.
