A convenient 50mm fan mount designed to be easily attached to the back of a 3/4 inch PVC pipe, mirroring the layout of the original spool holder found on Solidoodle SD3 printers. I use this mount to provide cooling for both the controller and 12V PSU by harnessing the power of the built-in fan. Two different variants have been created: v1 and v2. Both feature a mounting mechanism secured using an M5 screw and nut, designed specifically to hold fast on 3/4 inch PVC pipes. Although variant one boasts greater structural integrity, I find myself particularly drawn to version two due to its thoughtful design efficiency which has led to a reduction in overall material usage.
