Solidoodle 4 pi camera arm
thingiverse
I recently designed a simple camera arm specifically for my Solidoodle 4 printer. The actual camera mount was acquired from Third Horizon, but users can customize their own mounts using glue or an acetone weld if they prefer. A convenient option is available at www.thingiverse.com/thing:404654. There are two STL files provided for the mount portion. One features four 3mm holes suitable for screws, while the other design allows for gluing to ensure a sturdy connection. Although some individuals opted for glue as an attachment method, my personal experience was that it can become unreliable over time, ultimately causing a loose camera connection when pressure is applied, and in severe cases leading to disconnection from the Pi and a resulting failure of the printer's communication system
