Solidoodle 2 Power Switch (case)
thingiverse
I fixed the annoying issue of having to constantly plug and unplug my power cord when printing on my Solidoodle 2 printer.\nUsing all four screws meant to hold the original filament support, I securely fastened the structure.\nTo prevent overheating my main board during soldering work, I created a male-to-male adapter to connect my switch panel directly into place.\nWith a snap-on mechanism for the cover that was slightly hard to install, I did some careful sanding on the brim to ensure a precise fit. Before finalizing and exporting the STL file, I fine-tuned the brim but unfortunately never got around to testing the design fully.\nPlease share your experience with this project so far. Instructions Print both STL files (the box and the cover) Do some necessary soldering work to create reliable connections between switches and both female in- and out-power plugs Before securing the parts, attach the cover firmly into place, as attaching it after could result in extra screwwork - a lesson I learned the hard way not once but twice! Secure the screws into their designated holes. Prioritize screwing in the 4 allen screws from the back spool's original support area before closing the lid; replace any supports with an upgraded alternative as you see fit, of course! Have fun working on your project!
