Solidoodle 2 (2nd Gen) Dremel Mount
thingiverse
This is a premium upgrade interface for the Solidoodle 2 (Second Generation) and a high-speed rotary Dremel device, which converts your existing printer into a fully functional Computer Numerical Control milling machine. Initially inspired by the X-Dremel mount design created by lasernipples, I extracted the key threading elements and strategically integrated them into this original mounting solution. If you're interested in achieving maximum performance with this upgrade, please consult our comprehensive guide available on Instructables, which covers every essential step from preparation to final assembly. Detailed installation instructions: Begin by detaching your current extruder mechanism (which involves removing two easily accessible bolts underneath). Directly position the newly created interface on top of the existing X-axis carriage unit. Secure this upgrade in place using the previously detached extruder bolts. Make sure it is firmly locked into position to ensure stability and prevent movement during operation. Safely install your high-performance Dremel tool into its dedicated holder by carefully threading it onto the provided interface system. Once your device has been properly assembled, access advanced CNC features like CAM pathing, precise alignment capabilities, and many other functions via our Instructable.
