Solid of constant width
thingiverse
This solid of consistent width should be, ideally.\r\n\r\nIt showcases a trait that it shares with spheres: you can utilize it as a ball bearing, even though it's not a sphere itself. However, when stuck between parallel planes, it should rotate smoothly and the planes won't waver.\r\n\r\nThis model is derived from a tetrahedron, with a sphere positioned at each corner. The face opposite to each corner is a portion of that sphere.\r\n\r\nI provide you with the OpenScad file for your experimentation and the STL for direct printing.\r\nSuggestion: place the shape on its tip by applying a 45-degree rotation along the X-axis and a 35-degree rotation along the Y-axis.\r\nScale it up slightly (twice the original size).\r\nPosition three shapes on your build plate.\r\nChoose a 10% infill setting.
