Solid Legs for Light Table
prusaprinters

Here is a solid version of Part A, the modular rods used for the legs, for my Light Table. These can be printed in PLA. They are incompatible with the previously provided feet, so I have also included alternate versions of Part E (the basic foot) and a part that combines the bottom of the three rods in a leg with Part F-b, for the weighted foot. (The larger part of the weighted foot, F-a, the original version, screws onto this. I am including the original part F-a here as well for convenience.)

So if you're printing solid legs, you want

For standard feet: 9x SolidRod_forLightTable.stl and 3x PartEAlt_FootforSolidRod.stl

For weighted feet: 6x SolidRod_forLightTable.stl and 3x BottomRodforWeightedFoot.stl and 3x OnlyPartFa.stl

Printing:

0.8mm nozzle recommended

0.4 layer height

at least 2 perimeters

~20% infill

If you're printing with 0.8mm nozzle, for the rod parts, for minimal material you may try 2 perimeters and grid infill at 1%, which will get you a neat X running up the center.

As of May 18 ‘22, these parts have been test printed in PLA for printability and fit. I have yet to print a full set of these to be sure about overall structural integrity, although I'm fairly confident.
