The main base and column are robust steel assemblies permanently bonded together using a high-strength epoxy. The T-slot table is precision-engineered from linear rail systems that provide exceptional smoothness and accuracy. A BT30 automatic tool changer (ATC) spindle is also integrated into the system, ensuring rapid and efficient tool changes. Clearpath servo motors drive the entire machine with ease, while EGH25 Hiwin Linear rails provide smooth motion and precise control. The X and Y axes are directly driven by 2510 Hiwin ballscrews, offering high-speed performance and accuracy. Meanwhile, the Z axis is driven by a 3264 Hiwin ballscrew connected to a 50:1 harmonic drive, providing precise positioning and controlled movement. The manufacturing process involves several key steps, including welding, stress relieving, powder coating, machining, and finally filling with epoxy granite. The machine boasts an impressive travel range of 12 inches by 8 inches by 11 inches, resulting in a substantial weight of approximately 600 pounds.
