Solid base & stem for flower by tc_fea
thingiverse
I wanted to create a realistic tc_fea flower, complete with a stem that looks like it's grown from the earth. To achieve this look, I started by solidifying the bottom of the flower, making sure it had a sturdy base before moving on to the next step. Next, I designed a stem that would seamlessly attach to the flower, giving it a natural and effortless appearance. I'm particularly pleased with how the stem turned out – its rough texture adds a touch of realism that's hard to replicate with smooth, precision-crafted parts. While it might have been easier to pause between layers and let them cool completely, I opted for a more organic approach, allowing the print to flow smoothly from one layer to the next. The filament used for the stem is a vibrant lime green PLA from Just PLA, perfect for creating a pop of color that draws the eye. You can find it here: https://www.justpla.com/pla175mm/green-play175-1kg?limit=100 For the flower itself, I chose Makergeeks' white hot white PLA filament, which gives it a bright and airy appearance that's reminiscent of delicate petals.
