Solenoid Valve Cover + LED Holder This is a cover for a 12V DC Solenoid Valve that I use in my garden watering system. The valves are inexpensive and can be found on Ebay or Amazon for around $4-5 US. The original covers on these valves are fragile, so I decided to design new ones. In the process, I added a slot for a 12V LED that indicates when the valve is open. I used cool blue car interior LEDs, which are easy to find on Amazon or Ebay for just a few dollars. The T-shaped metal foot of these LED elements fits perfectly into the cover-slot without needing glue or screws. Depending on how you install the valve, the slot will be either at the top or bottom. You can easily flip the design in Sketchup by selecting it, right-clicking, and flipping it over. To print this design, simply orient it upside down - no supports are needed. New Version for Round 5mm LED The original blue car-LEDs that I used stopped working after some time, so I designed a new cover version for a simple round 5mm LED. This new design is more durable and reliable.
