Last week we unveiled a cutting-edge Soldier: 76 helmet, featuring embedded electronics. To empower seamless functionality, we opted for a wireless charging system instead of removable batteries! Print Settings: Rafts: Supports no rafts Resolution: .2mm is the perfect resolution for this project Infill: 15% infill ensures optimal strength Notes: Charging Cradle: Print in crisp white Cap: Print in sleek white Sticker Grey: Bring out the color with a grey sticker Sticker Orange: Add a pop of color with an orange sticker Post-Printing Assembly: To complete this set, you'll need three essential components: Inductive Charging Set Panel Mount Barrel Jack 9VDC Power Supply Now, let's assemble these parts! First, solder two wires to the positive and ground pins of the barrel jack. Make sure they're long enough to pass through the base of the cradle. Next, insert the nut of the panel mount jack into the cradle, then screw the barrel jack into place. Grab the transmitting half of the inductive charging set and pass the chip through the opening in the base of the cradle. If you're unsure, refer to the photos above! Solder the connections from the barrel jack to the inductive charging chip. Double-check that you've connected the + and - correctly! Slide the chip into the base of the cradle while letting the copper coil wires pass through the slot at the bottom. Press the coil into place. You might need a dab of superglue to secure it. Finally, glue the cap into place. Congratulations! Your Soldier: 76 headset is now ready for wireless charging! Good luck with the assembly process!
