Soldering Station w/ helping hands
thingiverse
I designed this soldering station to work with a basic soldering iron from Amazon. It also comes equipped with a mini rocker switch to turn it on, along with an included plate that can be used as a base for a different switch or even a potentiometer for adjustable temperature control. On the rear of the unit, there is a spot for a C14 style socket, while on the side, you'll find a regular 110V single socket where you plug in your soldering iron. This setup allows you to use different irons without having to cut their wires, making it more convenient and flexible. The unit features two main body versions, one of which has a spot to hold a spool of solder. Additionally, there are four balls on top that can be used to create helping hands, which work in conjunction with the [helping hands] designed by Giufini from Thingiverse. On the right side of the unit, you'll find five holes for holding extra tips for your soldering iron. I haven't printed this station yet, but plan to do so tonight (2/21/18), and will report back with the finished print once it's complete. To build this soldering station, you'll need the following components: * A soldering iron from Amazon * A mini rocker switch from Amazon * A C14 socket from Amazon * A 110V single socket from Amazon * A spring stand for holding your soldering iron in place * Alligator clips for helping hands
