Soldering Station (Fume Extractor + Spool Holder)
thingiverse
I required a solder fume extractor and a solder spool holder, so I decided to merge them into one device and attach it to a desk-mounted articulating arm. This station will fit onto anything with a 1/4"-20 nut and bolt. Be sure to check out my FreeCAD tutorial where I demonstrate how to create this model: Part 1: https://youtu.be/ODfiM8l89vQ, Part 2: https://youtu.be/-1PyZEqtNh4. To build this station, you will need the following items: a 120mm fan (select one rated at least 40+ CFM), a small toggle switch, a 12-volt power source, a carbon filter (available here: http://amzn.to/2fZmyQW), a 1/2" wooden dowel rod, a 1/4"-20 nut, and an articulating ball arm (buy one here: http://amzn.to/2fvzAlm). I have included the FreeCAD files for anyone to modify as well as smaller and full-sized versions.
With this file you will be able to print Soldering Station (Fume Extractor + Spool Holder) with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Soldering Station (Fume Extractor + Spool Holder).
