I whipped up this project because I had all those tools lying around in my toolbox, and when I needed them, I'd pull them out and put them back where they belonged. Now, I've got all the soldering tools neatly organized in one spot. It features a switch connected in series with a power outlet, which gives you a convenient way to shut off the iron whenever you need to. The cleaning station includes stainless steel wool for tidying up the iron's tip. A spring is kept firmly in place by two-part epoxy.
