This custom microscope stand leverages the capabilities of a Carson eFlex MM-840 USB Microscope, a highly affordable option available on Amazon for approximately $30 US. Designed for optimal functionality, the stand features a fixed height and orientation that has proven to be effective for my soldering needs. Future enhancements may incorporate adjustable height and focus using small stepper motors, but the current design effectively meets my requirements. At its base, the stand boasts an aluminum plate with grounding capabilities, serving as both an anti-static and heat-resistant work surface - unfortunately not visible in the accompanying image.
