Soldering Jig and Base for Modular LED Lamp (6 x 6)
thingiverse
A versatile base is designed for 6 x 6 LED grid modular lamps, accommodating the dimensions of 12VDC LED strips as shown in the diagram above. This object features bridging, requiring a capable and calibrated printer to produce accurately. To prepare the LED strips, follow these steps: 1. Cut each strip into six individual LEDs. 2. At one end of each strip, protect the negative contact with electrical tape and solder a 1.5 cm bare wire to the positive contact. Do the opposite at the other end. Repeat this process for all strips, as shown in the accompanying picture. Next, place the LED strips in the soldering jig, positioning the positive contacts on one side and the negative contacts on the other. Run the main leads up each side and solder them to each strip, ensuring the strips do not shift during the process, as illustrated above. Once the strips are securely attached, peel off their adhesive backing and press the bottom cover onto the LED strips to adhere them in place. These LED strips can now be used with the standard base or any of the customized options listed below: Explore more modules that utilize the same LED base at the following links: "Dendrite" - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4340529 "Out After Dark" - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4332088 "Among the Ruins" - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4322049 "Penguins on Ice" - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4321879 "Rabbits in Forest" - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4321943 "Stonehenge" - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4321731 Check back later for additional customized lamp options.
