Soldering Iron Tip Cleaner Mesh Ball Holder Thingy

I spend a lot of time soldering with my new RC quadcopter hobby and I'm really tired of adding water to my tip cleaning sponge all the time, but it does work exceptionally well. I've been eyeing these copper mesh ball holders for soldering iron tip cleaning and here's my take on it. I got some decent copper'ish cleaning mesh balls from the dollar store and they work pretty good. It's not as clean as a wet sponge but it gets the job done. I'm really pleased with my dollar investment. I cut the mesh ball in half and it works great. The full mesh ball will fit, but cleaning the tip of the iron isn't as easy as you'd like because you'll have a harder time pushing it into the mesh as its tightly packed in there. The bottom is indented so you can add tacky putty to hold it down or use double sided tape if needed. Enjoy!
