Soldering Iron Stand with Tip Cleaner
thingiverse
You can build a simple soldering iron stand by combining a wire-type tip cleaner with a metal rod or a clothes hanger handle. Use one of several options to clean the soldering iron tip, such as standard household stainless steel wire cleaning balls or specialized soldering iron wire cleaning pads available online. The metal part of your stand can be a 2.5-3 mm metal rod made from stainless steel or copper, which you can find at an online retailer, or even something as simple as the handle from an old paint bucket. To assemble the stand, heat the lower end of the metal and push it into the cavity. Keep in mind that the plastic parts are not heat resistant, so avoid letting them come into contact with your soldering iron to prevent damage.
