The soldering iron kit that I bought came with a small sponge stand with metal rest. I wanted to incorporate this into a full stand for the soldering iron so I could place it down while not working. This can be adapted as needed but with a small amount of glue I was able to hold down the sponge base plate to the print. This was printed with PLA, I prefer to have bed temperature for the PLA I use at about 70 degrees Celsius with a 200 degrees Celsius nozzle.
