## Reimagined Third Hand for Soldering Wires This rendition boasts an adjustable distance between the clamps, plus some internal weights within the base to keep everything stable. The weight makes a huge difference! The base employs two 80x40x2mm metal bars, which are widely available at hardware stores. Size isn't crucial: anything that fits inside the internal 80x40x4mm volume will suffice. A single 80x40x2mm steel bar felt insufficiently substantial. ## Printing and Assembly - Print 2x "Jim_Solder_Fingers_Jaw_Rotating.stl" - Print 2x "Jim_Solder_Fingers_Jaw_Static_mod.stl" - Print 2x "Jim_Solder_Fingers_Jaw_base_mod.stl" Alternatively, "Jim_Solder_Fingers_Jaw_full.stl" contains all parts. After printing, slide the metal bars into one end of the base. If the fit isn't snug, I suggest adding a dab of hot glue before inserting the second to prevent pieces from coming loose. The base features two thin legs to prevent wobbling, which will get you started. Nevertheless, I added four thin rubber pads to ensure it doesn't slip.
