When soldering extensively, it is safer to employ a suction device to prevent inhaling soldering fumes. This compact design enables users to mount a 120mm fan and a 135mm carbon filter at an affordable price. I stacked two of them together and connected them using a metal profile through the bottom front holes. Users can also utilize 20x40 or 20x60 mm aluminum profiles with M3 slot nuts to create a stable stand space. The device functions effectively at a distance of 10cm behind the soldering work. Important: Pay close attention to the arrows on the fan when mounting it, ensuring it sucks in the fumes correctly. Materials: * Carbon filter * Xytronic Replacement Filter 135x135x9mm (the manufacturer's website lists 130x130x10, but Reichelt provides a 135x135x9mm filter) + To obtain this: Visit Reichelt and purchase product FILTER 426-3 * Fan + 120mm fan with 105mm hole spacing + Four fan mounting screws (also used in computers) + I repurposed old screws lying around * Power supply + Matching voltage + Matching maximum current summed up for all parallel fans + Typical computer fans: 12V / 0.3A + I utilized a wall wart with an extra switch in the 12V line Mounting Points: * Four holes at the front and bottom (M3, through): + Mount the suction device on the back side + I used the outer two holes and secured a M4x40 cylinder head bolt as a stand, due to my metal profile being only 15x15 mm with limited stand area * Three holes inside and at the bottom (M3, countersunk): + Mount on the base * Four holes at the front, center: + If the filter won't stay in place, users can tap these holes (M3) to secure it in the "StegFilter" part.
