Soldering fume extractor, with selectable speed and cast concrete body
thingiverse
Here's my take on a soldering fume extractor. One in the picture is cast in concrete for weight and toughness. To cast in concrete, print all the files starting with 'mold' in TPU. PLEASE NOTE that you'll need 4 copies of 'mold d5 pin for screws.stl.' If you prefer a plastic version, print 'fume extractor.stl' in the material of your choice. Following components are to be printed in hard plastic: - Components housing.stl - Nuts bracket.stl Materials needed: - 60x15 (or 60x20) mm DC 12V fan - Fan grille, 60mm - SPDT Toggle Switch / on-off-on / panel mount type with 6mm thread - 5.5x2.5 mm barrel jack / panel mount type with 8mm thread - 33 Ohm, 1 Watt resistor - 4 m4x40mm screws and 4 m4 nuts Following is the project video, covering my trial-and-error design process. https://youtu.be/ANmoAnNdCxM
