Fume extractor housing designed for PC fans, ideal for soldering operations. Includes detailed designs for both 120mm and 140mm fans. Compatible with both 3-pin and 4-pin fans; simply connect the 12V and ground pins. The speed-sense and PWM control pins do not require connection. I highly recommend utilizing a fan with a minimum RPM of 2000 to achieve adequate airflow. I personally use a 140mm Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM, which performs well at distances ranging from 8-12 inches (20-30cm). Required hardware: (1) 120mm or 140mm fan (8) PC fan screws (1) 12VDC power adapter (1) DC barrel jack - panel hole diameter of 8mm (1) Power switch - panel hole dimensions: 12mm x 18.7mm (1) 3-pin or 4-pin fan connector Wire and soldering tools (Optional) Heat shrink tubing (Optional) Carbon filter Wiring Instructions: 1. Connect the fan power pin to one of the switch terminals. 2. Connect the other switch terminal to the DC jack positive terminal. 3. Connect the fan ground pin to the DC jack ground terminal
