Soldering Fume Extractor

https://tinkersprojects.com/ I built this soldering fume extractor for when I'm soldering at my desk. It's about time, considering how often I've been putting it off due to being too busy. The extractor uses an older computer fan to suck up the soldering fumes and then routes them through an active carbon filter. My desk is always cluttered with stuff, which made it a real challenge until I came up with the idea of using aluminum rods to hold the fan over the work area. These rods are secured in place by 3D printed connectors that allow me to position and angle the aluminum just right where it's needed. Around the fan, there's also a PCB with four LEDs installed, which adds some extra light to the work area.
