Soldering Fingers

Soldering Fingers

While I wanted to give "idig3d" credit for the inspiration, I ended up creating a soldering helping hands http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1635453 that took a different approach. When I saw idig3d's version, I liked the simplicity and faster build time, but I thought I'd create one with additional grooves and a tapered top to make it more versatile. Here is my interpretation. Note: The pictures show it floating a bit because I added little adhesive rubber feet so it won't slide along my workspace while soldering. I have also created this helping hands recently. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2757071 Please share your comments and prints! Check out my other designs on Thingiverse, too. https://www.thingiverse.com/mistertech/designs This design has been copied and sold on Ebay and other commercial sites without permission. If you have any tips for using Thingiverse effectively, I would appreciate them. If you don't have a 3D printer, consider purchasing a printed model from me on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Soldering-Fingers/132752109640?hash=item1ee8a47048:g:X5gAAOSw-ypbe5Sp Print Settings: Printer: Hatchbox delta Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 20% Notes: I think printing at a lower resolution would be beneficial in this case, as it would create more friction to hold the wires, essentially creating a built-in saw tooth.
