Soldering clip
thingiverse
Soldering clip is a tool specifically designed to facilitate the welding of wires by supporting them in its tubings. Fans, practitioners, students, and makers frequently utilize soldering clips that provide comfort while working with wires. This simple solution is an affordable alternative that assists users during their work. My passion for 3D printing was sparked at Rome Maker Faire, where I created numerous drawings and thoroughly studied the characteristics of 3D printing throughout its various stages. I have several projects ready to be printed, but unfortunately, I am unable to purchase or build a printer. By participating in this competition, I hope to finally bring my project to life, realizing a childhood dream. Print Settings Printer: None Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40 Post-Printing To prevent the plastic from melting when exposed to the welder or overheating of cables, I recommend printing it in ABS or covering it with aluminum foil. How I Designed This The design allows users to keep wires supported at a suitable distance for the insertion of the soldering iron tip. It features a larger groove and a smaller one to accommodate various space requirements and wire sections. This tool can be used both on a supporting surface or suspended. Custom Section Objectives The primary objective of this project is to create an economical and versatile tool for soldering. Audiences Individuals who work with wire soldering will benefit from this project, including hobbyists, practitioners, students, and makers. Preparation and Step The object to be printed is straightforward; I suggest printing it as shown in the picture to ensure a well-defined channel rather than the faces. Applying silver paper to the faces in contact with wires allows for easy handling. Results You now have an object that simplifies the welding process, even in confined spaces where using pliers may not be feasible. I hope this tool proves extremely useful for your projects.
