Solder Wire Holder For Gripping Wires
thingiverse
After seeing several of these online, I decided to create my own version that incorporates improvements both visually and functionally. I aimed for something lightweight yet robust that would perform well and minimize the risk of hot solder splashing onto the stand, ruining it in the process. This is why I incorporated a large void in the center. You can either place a container beneath the stand, add a solder wipe to the gap, or leave it open; your choice! Unlike most designs featuring a wedge-shaped gap, I opted for an exponentially curved grip section that allows various wire sizes to concentrate at the top and avoid falling too deep, where pillars might obstruct when soldering. This design also provides more surface area for wires to grip onto. My logo on the side may appear to protrude outward, but rest assured it is flush with the side of the device, allowing it to stack neatly alongside other boxy objects. I hope you find my design helpful and consider downloading and printing it! I plan to upload some pictures as soon as possible.
