Solder station third hand built with subway tile

thingiverse

I drew inspiration from a design on Thingiverse, but I wanted to create something tailored around a compact 3x6" (0.3" thick) subway-style wall tile, similar to the Daltile Restore Bright White Ceramic Modular Wall Tile available at Home Depot. The arms are made from flexible coolant pipes that can be found on Amazon. I printed four of these with the hexagonal opening facing up and a support inside the tile slot. The bottoms of the coolant arms fit snugly into the opening, secured with glue. I also glued the corners to the subway tile for added stability. Alligator clips were sourced from some spare test leads that I had and hot-glued into the ends of the coolant arms. The design files in Freecad are included for anyone who wants to modify or use them as a starting point.
