Solder Screw Fingers
thingiverse
I needed to secure some wires and stumbled upon this concept. After examining the design, I discovered that I could enhance its functionality by incorporating machine screws into the fingers to securely hold the wire in place and efficiently dissipate any heat generated with the metal screws. I created three versions of the design: one featuring two fingers, another with four, and a third identical to the original with seven fingers. I'm opting for the two-finger version for my project. Initially, I based this design on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2632340. I employed #6x1" machine screws; however, you can also utilize M3 screws. The provided OpenSCAD source files enable you to modify the diameter of the screws and their heads. So far, I've successfully used it with two wires. The **SolderScrewFingers_FullSize_Rev22.stl** file will require several hours to print and would necessitate a significant amount of screws (three in each finger). Instead, I recommend printing **SolderScrewFingers_OneSideShort_Rev22.stl** first to assess its functionality for your needs.
