Here are the updated instructions to make your old pens new again: Soldering Pen Hack with a Twist Update: Thinner spools are here! I've made a change to reduce the wall thickness of one of the spool halves from 2mm to just 1mm. This should give you better print quality, and if you still need it, I can create an additional 2mm version. I also added some rafts to small-printed parts to keep them firmly on the build plate while printing. Say goodbye to warping pieces! Here's how to turn that old pen into a handy soldering tool: Unassemble your everyday pen, save the tube - it's about to get new life! Print all parts together at once for the best results. **Required Parts:** - Tip (choose 1 or 3mm, or have both on hand) - Spool Holder - (2) Spool Half - glue these two pieces together for an improved print Use a heat gun to soften up the pen tube so you can slide in your printed parts. File and drill the components to finish them off Fill 'er up with solder! You've just created something useful from what used to be trash! Keep making, creating, and inventing!
