Solder Fume / Smoke Extractor 120mm Fan NO HARDWARE DIY Tool for Micro Electronics
thingiverse
This is a straightforward fume extractor intended to house a single 120mm PC case fan. It's specifically designed for the Arctic F12, which can usually be found for less than $8 via Amazon Prime. To assemble the extractor, no hardware is needed. I've engineered it so that the "Cover" will fit snugly over the "Main Body." If desired, the optional "Intake Cone" can be placed on top of the "Cover," focusing extraction to a 2" x .75" area. Both one-piece and two-piece versions of the "Intake Cone" are available. If you choose to use hardware, I've included four 4mm holes at all four corners (on 105mm offsets) in both the "Main Body" and "Cover," allowing for screws or bolts to secure the "Main Body," "Cover," and fan as one unit. A .5" hole is located in both the "Main Body" and "Cover," enabling power wires to be fed through and out the back. I'd appreciate your feedback in the form of Makes and Comments!
