Solder Fume Extractor - uses 100mm ducting
prusaprinters
Wanted to use the dust collection I have in the garage to suck the smoke/fumes away from my face. Uses a coarse filter just to keep the dust collection ducting from picking up small items on the workbench to hit the impeller of the 1.5hp Delta dust collection. Used Freecad to create a piece that would fit the ducting 100mm and then transform to a square filter housing that could be held in place with 3/8in threaded rod I had on hand. A C-stand holds this above the workbench when soldering. There are two pieces. The filter cover uses 4 #6 screws to attach the cover to the main piece, thus holding the filter material in place between the two hexagon surfaces.15% infill using MatterHackers MHbuild PETG transparent blue, transparent yellow, and silver.
