I had a stash of spare screws lying around for computer case fans that were 6/32 inches in size. I picked up some matching nuts from Home Depot and recreated the corner piece to securely hold the 6/32 inch screws in place. Fortunately, I didn't need to use any glue to secure the nuts because the tolerances were good enough that I could press fit them into place.
