Minimalist way to attach a carbon filter to a 120mm fan, creating a simple yet effective solder fume extractor. Assembly: Begin by inserting M3 nuts into the nut traps. Next, secure the fan using M4 socket head cap screws. Then, place an active carbon filter cut to approximately 100x90mm within and fasten the cover using M3x16 screws. Active carbon filters can be sourced from suppliers such as Toolcraft's 3-part unit, available at Conrad (https://www.conrad.nl/p/toolcraft-79-7201-actief-koolfilter-3-delig-588546). Consider adding a fan guard to the opposing side of the fan for additional protection. A suitable design can be found on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1581974).
