A few years ago, I made my own version of a soldering aid for wires. I posted it on Thingiverse and it became fairly popular. I always wanted to redo it with spring loaded clips. Using the springs from dollar store clothespins, I designed and printed tests until I came up with this.

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLBzqyu_N4I"></oembed>

Best printed with 3 or more walls/outlines, and 30% or more infill. Needs good layer adhesion for strength.

Added a 7mm version for thicker springs that @David used. The cheap dollar store clothespin springs I used were 5.5mm diameter. Use "_5mm" files for 5.5mm springs. Use "_7mm" files for thicker 7mm springs.

Added horizontal “_horz” and vertical “_vert” teeth variants of the design as well.
