solder feeder pen

This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/0INxSb9UTYs. If you do a lot of soldering, then this handy tool is for you - hold it like a pen and turn the little wheel near the tip to feed the wire as needed. The build process involves printing plastic parts, gluing the spool together, and optionally gluing the main body parts. Next, visit an auto store or hardware store and get three 3mm x 30 nuts, three screws, and a piece of rubber hose with approximately 6mm outside diameter and 3mm inside diameter. Cut the rubber hose slightly shorter than the plastic gears, insert the gear into the rubber pieces, and attach them to the rubber wheels in front. One of these wheels has lateral movement to allow for different size solder and better pressure when feeding the solder. Attach the spool to one end with a nut/screw. To load it, push solder into the front of the pen until it comes out the back, then wind the spool until it is full. See pics at https://youtu.be/twCopgvMNj0 - a video will be posted soon.
