Solarpanel Mounting Brackets
prusaprinters

I've been experimenting with different ways to install solar panels on the roof and in the garden. First I used aluminium profiles, which are realively lightweight but pretty difficult to install properly and cost quite a lot. Recently I decided to extend my mini solar power plant but didn't want to spent as much. So I built a simple but sturdy wooden frame and printed these brackets to hold the panels in place.

Print in ASA or another material, which is rigit enough, sustains wether and UV light exposure.

I recommend to use 3 perimeters for higher strength. 20% infill seems to be sufficient, then. Print upside down to avoid support.

Use 5.0 x 80 countersunk screws for mounting.

Can be extended to any array size if mounted to a flat surface.
